No Stock for You!
Tip of the week
I spent most of this week watching CNN and the war on Ukraine; not much mindshare given to stock-picking. So – no stock picks this week.
The war in Europe
The second World War in Europe started in 1938 with that generation’s version of a ‘special military operation’ in the Sudetenland.
“History doesn’t repeat itself, but it often rhymes.” attributed to Mark Twain

Politico posted a deep interview with Fiona Hill. Her opinion on the war is worth reading.

98 weeks into this 520-week project the portfolio looks like this vs the ETF: SPY:
The portfolio is ahead – but not by much. All of the difference is explained by dividends. This portfolio averages about a 3 ½ % dividend yield. SPYs current yield is 1 1/3 %.
